Why is there a delay when taking a picture?

Communication and processing take time. We try to minimize this as much as possible; however, there will always be some delay between pressing the shutter button and the camera(s) taking a picture.

I cannot find any cameras to join.

Immoto communicates over a local WIFI network only. It does not communicate to any 3rd party servers or networks.

Many open networks do not support IPv6 or broadcast/multicast packets. Immoto will not function correctly on these networks.

  • Verify a connection to a WIFI network. Groups will not be discovered over cellular antennas.
  • Verify everyone is on the same WIFI network.
  • Verify someone on the local WIFI network has started a group.
  • Exit and restart the app.
  • Verify the local network supports IPv6.
  • Verify the local network supports UDP broadcast/multicast packets.

Why are the photos named IMG_### when exporting them?

We use standard system APIs when saving images, so all of your photos are stored in one place. At this time, the API available to us does not allow for custom file naming; however, we do organize photos taken together in albums.

Some of my burst mode photo names are out of order.

Since we use standard APIs to save captured images to the system camera roll, we do not have control over the name of the photo file. While we have seen burst mode pictures named in correct sequence, we have seen cases when this does not happen. We will continue to investigate options and make any corrections we can to help alleviate this potential issue.

Periodically if I set my tablet down for a while and come back later, the shutter button no longer seems to respond.

In the one customer reported case so far, this was due to a misconfiguration of multiple access points. Proper WIFI configuration is crucial for cross device communication.

If you do not have permissions to edit your network configuration, the current workaround is for the host to tap the menu button in the upper right-hand corner of the camera activity and select “Check Connections.” If successful, it will reset the connections to the various client cameras.

What are the various faces in the session review?

The faces are intended to give a quick and fun overview for how a practice went.

problem_answer_grade_a_plus The problem was answered correctly on the first try and within a time limit deemed for proficiency.

problem_answer_grade_aThe problem was answered correctly on the first try, but outside a time limit deemed for proficiency.

problem_answer_grade_bThe problem was answered incorrectly at first, but the student followed up with a correct answer.

problem_answer_grade_cThe problem was not answered correctly and the app had to provide the solution.

Can the app read my hand-writing for the answer?

Implementing recognition for young handwriting can be challenging. If we are to implement a solution we want to make sure we get it right. In the meantime, these are educational applications designed for home and classroom use. Given the Common Core standards for students to be able to exercise different forms of UI, we found the current solution of having the user type their final answers meets multiple criteria.

What is the difference between “Blackboard Math” and “EG Classroom” products?

In short: Nothing. As the product line is maturing, we’re finding a need for refinement. If you have a “Blackboard Math” product, you will see updates coming with the new brand in the coming months.

Can students message each other in app?

No. In order to preserve order in the universe, messaging is only available when the Teacher app is installed.  When the app is installed, messaging is a one-way communication from the teacher.

Will the difficulty level automatically advance?

Yes. Within a difficulty level the problems get progressively harder until the user has demonstrated proficiency on all the concepts being practiced at the difficulty level. At that point, the difficulty level will automatically increase.

What happens after my student finishes difficulty level 5?

When students complete level 5 for a given operator, the app will continue to present problems according to the difficulty definition for level 5. A student can continue to practice for better time and accuracy across any of the levels.

What is the Custom/Obsessive geometry?

Custom/Obsessive geometry ignores whatever weight may have been entered for the bicycle and rider. The front and rear pressures are computed exclusively from the value entered for each tire’s respective load. Bakfiets, longtails and xtracycles, and other non-traditional cargo bike and trailer users could find this setting useful as well.

What is the weight distribution of the different geometry types?

The listed ratios are rear/front percents:

  • Classic Road – 60/40
  • Modern Racer – 60/40
  • Dutch City – 65/35
  • French Randonneur – 55/45
